BCCI was hired by the City of San Francisco for all preconstruction and construction to transform this former greenhouse into a community center, restoring its vibrancy and functionality, without comprising its historic integrity. Major renovations include improving security and ADA accessibility, as well as functional upgrades such as irrigation systems and controls. A combination of old and new elements are being used, such as reclaimed wood for the structural framing and panels, a new custom-made chandelier for the ceiling dome and new wrought iron gates and signage. New walkways and ramps will be paved as part of the landscape design, all facilitating visitor access to this beautiful new community center.
