McDonnell Office Modernization
SFO Airport, San Francisco

Originally built in the 1970’s, BCCI successfully renovated this high security, three-story structure that houses multiple departments at the SFO Airport. The modernization required extensive site work including new parking lots, sidewalk, and ADA pedestrian improvements. BCCI abated and demolished the building’s top floor so the space could be repurposed from a mechanical system and storage area into modern private and open offices. All construction was completed while the building was occupied. BCCI carefully coordinated the phased move-in of each of the five departments, originally located in the Airport’s main terminal, into the refurbished space. The project is being submitted for LEED CI Gold certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
