BCCI Completes Office Development Campus in San Mateo

BCCI, in conjunction with Lowe Enterprises, restores and renovates 4 buildings on a 22-acre site.

San Francisco (June 15, 2009) – BCCI Construction Company has announced that it has completed work at the Clearview Business Park in San Mateo, Calif. BCCI was contracted by Lowe Enterprises to renovate and restore four of the six buildings at the 270,000 square-foot office park situated in the hills at the top of the intersection of Highway 92 and West Hillsdale Boulevard.

This multi-phased design/build project involved complete interior demolition, ACM abatement, seismic and ADA upgrades along with major mechanical and electrical systems improvements. Exterior improvements include the addition of a new EIFS building envelope and entry storefronts. Site enhancements at the 22-acre site entail tree removal and landscaping, parking lot re-surfacing and improvements to pedestrian access throughout the campus.

“We chose BCCI because of BCCI’s years of experience completing difficult, fast-tracked projects similar to the Clearview Business Park,” said David Sonderegger, Senior Vice President, Lowe Enterprises Real Estate Group.“BCCI is a collaborative partner and solutions driven construction company — their expertise and partnership made this complex and challenging project a rewarding experience.”

In addition to the office park’s convenience to two major highways, Highway 101 and Interstate 280, the site offers sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay — making it an attractive office location for tenants. BCCI successfully fulfilled Lowe’s vision to modernize the facilities to Class A standards and finishes, including new stone and wood in the lobbies, and new fixtures and granite in the restrooms. BCCI met the developer’s budget and tight schedule, and expedited construction skillfully so that the facilities would be available for occupancy on time. Tenants include Akamai Technologies, developer of software for web content and application delivery.
